В статье раскрываются основные тенденции в экономическом развитии страны, являющейся членом объединения БРИКС, в постпандемийный период. Особое внимание уделено потенциальному эффекту от участия ЮАР в региональных торговых соглашениях (Соглашение об Африканской континентальной зоне свободной торговли, АКЗСТ- African Continental free trade area, ACFTA). Очевидно, что реальное функционирование этой зоны должно было бы положительно сказаться на экономическом развитии стран в нее входящих. Представляется, что более глубокая интеграция экономик африканских стран в мировое хозяйство имеет жизненно важное значение как для их выживания во время пандемии, так и для окончательного восстановления и роста. К тому же цифровизация экономики, ускоренная пандемией, становится фактором быстрого преодоления страной связанных с коронавирусом экономических потрясений.
The article reveals the main trends in the economic development of the country, which is a member of the BRICS association, in the post-pandemic period. Particular attention is paid to the potential effect of South Africa's participation in regional trade agreements (Agreement on the African Continental Free Trade Area, ACFTA- African Continental free trade area, ACFTA). It is obvious that the actual functioning of this zone would have a positive impact on the economic development of its member countries. It seems that deeper integration of African economies into the world economy is vital both for their survival during the pandemic and for the final recovery and growth. In addition, the digitalization of the economy, accelerated by the pandemic, is becoming a factor in the country's rapid overcoming of economic shocks associated with the coronavirus.
