Abstract

With growing global concerns about environmental protection, climate change and sustainable development, policymakers and academia have focused on the concept of green finance. Due to the urgent need to solve environmental problems and promote sustainable development, green finance markets are actively developing. The need to address environmental issues is one of the main drivers of green finance. Innovative projects in the field of green technologies are seen as an important means of achieving sustainable development. There is a growing body of research on green project financing, focusing on a variety of factors, such as the criteria for projects to meet the concept of green economy. The author presents examples of projects and criteria for their eligibility, which can be classified as acceptable green projects based on current practice. At the same time, it is worth noting that there is a possibility that some green projects may not bring the expected environmental benefits. At the Innovation in green technology is seen as an important means of achieving sustainable development. Green lending guidelines have a heterogeneous impact on businesses with different characteristics.
