AGROTOURISM AND AGRICULTURAL TOURISM AS A FACTOR OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF TERRITORIES

Abstract

The article analyzes the possibilities of transformation of the tourism business in terms of the development of agrotourism. To do this, we study the experience of foreign countries that have introduced innovation and shown high results in this area. The purpose of the article is to study the specifics of agrotourism as a factor in the economic development of territories and, based on this, to derive the author's classification of this phenomenon. The theoretical review involves studying the authors' approaches to understanding the essence of agrotourism and agricultural tourism, while identifying similarities and differences in terminology. Based on this, its own definition of the concept of "agrotourism" has been developed. The research methodology includes the systematization of scientific materials and statistics on the development of agrotourism and agricultural tourism in Russia, as well as abroad. The methods of theoretical review, analysis, statistics, deduction and generalization were also applied. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the author's understanding of the term "agrotourism", derived from the research of scientists. In addition, a classification has been developed that makes it possible to distinguish agrotourism by type of consumer of services, business objectives and its goals. It is determined that the basis of the new classification is agrotourism based on agricultural production of products with a combination of leisure activities. The results of the work contain conclusions regarding recommendations and measures for the further long-term development of agrotourism and agricultural tourism in Russia. The main idea is to create a legislative framework to regulate and support this area in tourism, and to develop infrastructure for domestic consumption in certain residential areas. The creation of small full-cycle farms is considered as a driver of the economic development of the territory.
