This article provides a systematic study of the internal and external factors affecting the functioning of chemical industry enterprises in the Astrakhan region, which determine the opportunities for developing competitive advantages and ensuring competitive potential. The study uses statistical analysis of economic and production indicators, such as production capacity, the number of industrial and production personnel, and the volume of output, as well as financial results, to determine the positions of Astrakhan chemical enterprises in the regional market and assess the use of factors for developing competitiveness.
