Assessment of economic security of enterprises operating in the energy sector

Abstract

The article discusses the methodological aspects of assessing the economic security of an enterprise using various methods and author’s approaches. The expediency of applying several methodological approaches to assessing the economic security of an enterprise is justified, which will allow observing such principles of analysis as the complexity and objectivity of the results obtained.
Testing of this evaluation algorithm is presented on the example of an enterprise working in the energy sector. The integrated approach allowed the authors to identify gaps in ensuring the economic security of an enterprise operating in the energy sector, which can be used by management to improve business processes and improve the mechanism for ensuring the economic security of enterprises in the energy sector. Also, the scientific novelty is the identification and grouping of factors that affect the economic security of enterprises in the energy sector. This classification reflects not only the generally accepted factors that affect the economic security of enterprises, but also determine the specifics of the energy sector of the economy.
