ENTREPRENEURIAL UNIVERSITIES AS A FACTOR ENSURING THE SUSTAINABILITY OF THE REGIONAL ECOSYSTEM DURING TIMES OF CRISIS

The article presents a view of entrepreneurial universities as one of the key factors ensuring the sustainability of the regional ecosystem during times of crisis. It is no secret that entrepreneurial universities, operating in the university 4.0 model already at the time of this study, were able to form around themselves an ecosystem for the creation and development of serial entrepreneurship, similar to what was once created in Silicon Valley in the United States. Unfortunately, no one has yet succeeded in repeating or surpassing the experience of Silicon Valley, but one cannot help but notice that regions with an entrepreneurially active population cope with crises and their consequences much easier and better than conservative industrial and agricultural regions. The materials obtained during the study can be used in the design of regional business ecosystems, which will be based on an entrepreneurial university.
